EVIDENCE GENERATION
Generation of quality evidence by appropriate scientific studies is the cornerstone of evidence informed health care provision. Scientific community is still struggling to find answers to age old problems, while new challenges are emerging at a pace unimaginable. Also, there are some fundamental questions are being raised about the sanctity & inclusivity of the current available evidence. So, there is a case for radical transformation of the scientific processes to make them more trustworthy and inclusive. “ERA” envisages to radically transform the way evidence is being generated
EVIDENCE SYNTHESIS
Evidence generated on small number of subjects in specified population groups, suffers the problem of limited generalizability. Pooling of evidence from multiple sources offers some solution for the problem. But there is huge gap between the evidence generation and pooling. The scientific process of evidence pooling is perceived as a complicated process by the scientific community and only small minority of them are engaged in it. “ERA” envisages to galvanize the evidence synthesis…
EVIDENCE DISSEMINATION
Even the best quality of available evidence is not in a form amenable to adopt in day to day practice for health care providers. The consumers have hardly any access to best available evidence, as it is often too complicated and lost in the ocean of unauthentic information.
